So far the French have secured a river crossing into Allied territory pushing back Dave's Brunswickers........or was the tactical retreat of Herr Maurice "wiesel of the Rhine " just one Dave's cunning plans!!
Myself and Andy have enough forces for each side if anybody wants to try the rules or drop in for a game
yep I am definitely down the club and wouldn't mind joining in a game.
I was thinking we could maybe fit in a smaller (12-16 points) skirmish game first, to give Mitch a chance at securing plot points, leading into a larger game following the outcome of the skirmish
Yeah, sounds like a plan. I was thinking about a 3 part set of battles as a way to organise a bit of narrative for any fight:
1 - Meeting of patrols type battle (could be half points each)
2 - Winner becomes attacker in next battle - Random scenario (Full points)
3 - If Attacker wins then continues attack in third battle but defender chooses scenario (from limited list) (Full points)
If attacker wins the third battle there is some bonus Honour (10 points?)
If the defender wins either battle 2 or 3 the set of battles is over, no bonus honour for either side.
