I’m looking at picking up an Ender 3 in the near future, they’re currently on Amazon for around £220, is this a good price or is there somewhere better to get one from?

Get a resin printer John, unless you are after printing large terrain items

Don’t think I’d get away with a resin printer, Sue is a bit funny with having ‘chemicals’ around with Ruby. I do have a couple of ideas for some larger bits too (looking at you Star Wars Legion)

200c hot end, burny burny curious fingers, resin is far safer, and the Mars pro is superb.

If you use the water washable resin it removes the need for chemicals post clean up

That is a good point, one that I won’t be telling Sue incase the whole idea goes back out the window.

What’s resin like for printing things other than minis? I’ve persuaded Sue it’s a good idea to get a printer because every time she mentions she wished she had a ‘thing’ to help store some of her crafting stuff I’ve chimed in with ‘if I had a 3D printer, I could print you something’

Print her a baby groot or baby yoda, jobs a good un. printing functional parts useful in real world , depends on what material you are printing, petg and ABS have good mechanical properties better than PLA, PLA however is a lot easier to print, ABS and PETG do not like temperature variation while printing, and are often printed on machines in an enclosure. Resin also has many many different properties , I'm looking forward to trying out Elegoo's ABS like resin.

Thanks Rik, given me a bit to think about before I order anything.
