The Comte clearly understood the rash nature of this mere, Sub Roman, Maruritius.......and that the main strategic goal was to hold open a road to his landing grounds.......strategy....

basically there was a scrum down between characters ...who had there own stats with random activations and glory pointsbdor different actions......the characters were then able to join a unit as normal....Pete devised it, worked quite wel

More lion rampant using the flanks/shieldwall rules with some house rules for single combat between leaders thrown in . The Romano-Brits tried to see off Saxon raiders.....the Comte D'El Monte holding on to the last

Lion rampant v2 rematch......the vikings .....watched on by a mysterious one eyed character.....came close to smashing the byzantine army but an exceptional defence by the javelin armed light infantry blunted attack long enough for the light cavalry to perform a flank attack.....a desperate challenge by the viking leader saw him skewered by the Comte D'El Monte.....

plastic bodies with the metal bonnets, simple figures but they paint up well

24 more musketeers for Andy's covenanters army, less uniform to represent veteran troops from the Bishops war....

me and Ian tried out Lion Rampant v2 using the shieldwall and flanks optional rules. They did change the dynamic of the game, with light cavalry proving a nuisance on the flanks and manoeuvres being quite important.

quiet night at the club so me and Dave had a go at dragon rampant for a change. Uncharestically Dave's undead horde advanced steadily across the board and almost seeing off my commanders cavalry, it was looking like the undead had ut in the bag until his ghosts failed a wild charge and were forced to defend themselves twice before fleeing.......
The Empire advanced on the undead only for the witches to steadily befuddle them....almost swinging the game.....almost the much depleted cavalry managing to snatch victory at the last ....r

Me and Ian have had a couple of games of Warfleets by one page rules recently, they are very much in the same vain as all the OPR sets, light and quick with around 7 to 8 ships per fleet.....Nice chance to dust off the old BFG ships I have left

do you fancy having ftl a go?
-
I should be down this week, all being well!!
-
we should have plenty between us now for some decent games, I found a few more ships I had knocking about as well so should ha e enough for a space French fleet!!! I've dug out my battlegleet gothic cruisers too, so should have enough for FTL too, though I need some turrets to finish off a couple of bfg frigates that are missing a couple
-
how many does it limit you too.....I don't think we've taken more than 5 each.....besides these were cheap and I was thinking at there is a pool for bigger/multi player games

A flotilla of light utility ships are on the go.....15 Cardassian cruisers should suffice....

another stragic masterpiece by the Comte del Monte.
The zouaves even manged to kill some Germans as well.,......instead if prancing about in their red trousers
