The new Dreadball Season begins this Friday (19th November 2021), teams will be provided for those that don't have them, so feel free to saunter down and join in.

There has been new, official errata, please see the files section.

    Team Construction

Teams are to be built from a starting kitty of 1000mc. It is advised (though not compulsory) you use the recommended teams from the rulebook. N.B. these recommended teams do not always total 1000mc, so you may start with a small amount of money in the bank.

    Matchdays

Please be at the club by 19:45 for a kick off of 20:00

Fixtures will be determined semi-randomly on the night.

Should we have an odd number of teams, three of the teams will be involved in a game of Ultimate Dreadball (The three teams with the most overall Cheers will be chosen for the ultimate game).

    Televised Games

One two-player game per Matchday will be ‘televised’ and use the Event Deck. This will be the match between the teams with the most combined number of Cheers (determined randomly in the case of a tie). Teams involved in televised games gain an additional die for revenue.

    Ties

These are to be avoided, and extra time be played as per the rules.

There are 7 “official” matchdays, with a mid-season break where some dodgy extrasolar games are taking place that you might or might not wish to subject your players to…..

    Points are scored as follows:

    Landslide Win:5

    Win: 4

    Tie: 2

    Loss: 1

    Landslide Loss: 0

Matchday 8 will be the Championship Final between the following three teams:

The team with the most overall points

The team with the most overall Cheers

The team with the most WADDA points according to this formula: (Points + Games Played)/Games Played

Any Ties on points will be decided by Strikes scored then by Casualties caused, then by head-to-head results.

    Schedule

    “Who’s that?”

    “Who?”

    “Them. Over there. Ugly Funkers”.

“I don’t know. Let’s go and smash their faces in”.

And so the carnage outside of Stoke City’s away end began.

Immediately, Bod ran over and threw some kind of plasma grenade at the scum, a direct hit seeing their corpses sail through the air one way, whilst the skin sloughed off from the blast sailed in the other.

“Take that mutant peasantry!” shouted Bod, leaping over the crumbling barricades into the arms of some….. thing; which promptly chopped his head off, causing half of his mates to run away.

    bod-1.jpg?w=1024Poor Bod

Elsewhere, beneath the overpass to nowhere, a duel of epic proportions was taking place. Takeshi Kendo and Heddodorasu parried and feinted their way through a delicate dance as graceful as Spring’s first butterfly on the petals of a rose.

I’m lying. They hacked at each others heads like demented Preston North End supporters on crack.

bod-2.jpg?w=1024“Tom Finney is the best” – “No, Tony Ellis”

Everyone then decided to steam in to the fun, bludgeoning each other to a miserable pulp whilst some cowardly clown goon of Rik’s took pot shots from the overpass.

    bod-3.jpg?w=1024“Come on you Lilywhites!”

Eventually revenue droid was victorious, and he chased the cowardly clown goon across the overpass, skewered him and dumped him unceremoniously into the toxic glop.

    Job done.
