Events can be viewed by going to the calendar menu. You can then choose to:
View the Calendar
Here you can see a calendar view of all events created, colour coded by category. You have the option to view the calendar by Month, Week and Day.
View a list of upcoming events
Here you can see a list of events, in date order, by month. As before the events are colour coded based on their assigned category.
Review your event participations
Here you can see all the events for which you have set your participation to Yes or Maybe. As before the event is colour coded by category.
For all three views, by clicking on an event you will bring up its details. From there you can then manage your participation or share the event and if you created the event you will also have the option to edit or cancel it.
Creating an event
Select create event on the Calendar or Upcoming Events pages brings up the Create Event page
Select the Category - We only have a few set up so far. Let a mod or admin know if you think we need a new category.
Enter the title of your event
Set the start and end date and time
Set tags for your event
Enable Repetition if you want your event to recur regularly. This will bring up additional options to set the frequency of repetition.
Enable Participation if this is an event you’d like users to sign up for. You can then set additional controls to allow participants to invite others and to change their mind.
Description is then completed using the same WYSIWYG editor as you use when creating posts.
