Hello there...

    Hey folks! finally getting around to posting here after popping in a few times.


    I recently moved back to the UK from Canada and have been slowly getting back into gaming as I finally unpacked. I’ve been to the club a couple of times now (and keep forgetting to actually introduce myself on the forum…), so figured it was time to say hi properly!


    I play a bunch of different systems, but right now it’s mostly:


    Star Wars: Legion – running Wookiees and enjoying the new updates to the game


    Necromunda – I played a Delaque gang in my last campaign but have lots of stuff and love the campaign and narrative nature of the game.


    Warhammer 40K – I have not played any of the new edition yet, but am working on a Snakebite Ork list as I know it's probably the easiest system to get a game of.


    Dragon Rampant – I picked up the rules before I left as I saw it was popular in the club and knew I could repurpose some of my old armies, I'm 3 games in and have been enjoying it, even if Bryan's Murder Chickens are a nightmare...


    I love small scale games like Legions Imperials, and used to enjoy things like Warmaster Ancients and was working on a DBA army before I left Canada.


    I’m also into skirmish games, anything on a smaller table that plays quickly will likely tempt me, but stuff with a hobby or narrative focus are always winners.


    Looking forward to getting more games in and meeting more of you properly!

    I used to play DBA, DBM, DBR , for DBA I have ~12 6mm armies (and 3 more to paint), ~8 15mm armies and 2 25mm armies.

    But To The Strongest, Armati and Basic Impetus rules can be used instead.

    I've used the 25mm Classical Indians against Bryan in Dragon Rampant, chariots, elephants and Prince Koura from The Golden Voyage of Sinbad.

    The 25mm Nikephorian Byzantines should be ready soon to reassert their dominance over the Azymites.


    I have a load of DC Heroclix and Pacific Rim figures that can be used for skirmish games.

    Hi Kris, I picked up a bunch of Star Wars Legion over lockdown, sadly it’s never graced the table (some of it has yet to be painted…) I’d be happy to have a game at some point. I’ve also found myself with a bit of a Shatterpoint addiction if you ever want to give that a try?

    I have lots built but not everything have lots of painting still to do, I have a few lists planned out in various stages of completion. My Dark Angels and my Imperial Knights are the closest to being finished and can both hit the table as long as WiP stuff is fine.

    My Iron Warriors and my Titan Legion are still boxed up from the move and are mostly on Sprue still.

    Now if only Bryan had told me there was another unit of Chickens in the box.

    It was fun to try out the Lion Rampant scenarios, hopefully that section of the Dragon book is fleshed out in the 2nd edition. I have been working on my storage for the army and have most of it done now so it wont have to live in its cardboard box any more...

    I have armies for all 5 factions in various states of completion, currently playing Wookiee Defenders with Yoda and Chewbacca leading a hoard of angry fur balls.
    I am then splitting time between finishing off more Shadow Collective and a Rogue One themed empire list.

    I have lots built, and more waiting (this is after I thinned out the collection before the move...)

    As for Shatterpoint, I was slowly building a community in Calgary before I left, but sold all of my stuff back in December to help one of the guys get started.
    I did pick up the core set again at Adepticon this year, but its still in shrink wrap at the moment, but I would be keen to play that as well, as I love games that fit on to the 3x3!

    Hey Kris, Sunday 8th June will be the next early opening, i normally open up at 12 and run/play legions Imperialis games then, if you want to try, i am not worried about your stuff being WIP, gaming may encourage your mojo with it. 1500pts normally gives a good (if somewhat deadly) game, failing that I can go with what ever you fancy, i reckon i can do 6-8k of Solar with Titan support, but that would take a long time to play and is no good if your still learning?

    I picked up a few more boxes of Shatterpoint at UKGE today so am definitely up for playing that some more.


    Need to build my Core Set but am happy to play that anytime.
